Eid ul-Fitr!

'Esok Hari Raya!'
As most muslims are looking forward to celebrate this auspicious day.Well, frankly, am not so excited. The reason behind it?
Despite the family friction, I've received my PPK questions...aiyah.
Again, deja vu as it may be, I'll be sitting for my PPK exam a week after Raya. So, there goes "jolly good time".

Secondly, I have no baju raya. Envious with my fellow fren, antaranya Jas who seems to be unable to make up her mind whether to wear which baju raya out of 3 choices that she has..(hahaha) and the fact that my other fren's young ones/babies pun have their own baju raya...while I have none! Too late to shop la (malas is more like it)

But then again, I'm in Penang! The best part of it, break fast time is sooo nice. So farewell ayam penyet, pecal lele, briyani gam etc...for now. 2 weeks of holiday in Penang? I should be happy...but somehow PPK is bugging me. Amy is kind enough to lend me her netbook for me to do some research. Couldn't thank her much.

Independence Day

As Eid is approaching, there's a lot of things to be done. And one of it, 'balik kampung' preparation. So, first thing first, 'cuci' my car. Service it thoroughly. Clean it in and out, esp the leather seats which need to be groom. 'Samak' here and there and 'samak' all over. And the result...'suci' finally. Then only it would be proper to ride with my loved ones.

Anyway, its Independence Day!So, what have we achieved so far? What do you understand by the notion of 1 Malaysia? A current slogan by the Prime Minister. With all due respect, I am nothing but confuse. Does it mean 1 nation, 1 country and 1 race? If so, then how come we are still multi racial? I'm pretty sure we're not gonna be like Indonesia or Thailand in that sense. I believe the other races are not ready to give up on their 'sekolah jenis kebangsaan' etc for the sake of being 1 Malaysia. Or...maybe its simpler, it is unity among the races. I agree with Tun Mahathir when he said that only our Prime Minister could clarify and explain the true meaning of 1 Malaysia so it would be clearer and comprehend by our fellow Malaysian. I have a strong understanding that 1 Malaysia is still in line with the Federal Constitution. The living legend Prof. Emeritus Khoo Kay Khim acknowledged the unquestionable constitution of Malaysia. Somehow, some leaders are very bold enough to question on the constitution, indirect, yet obvious. For example on the Malays students right to education (the privilege to be exact), a certain individual had demanded a list of Malay students name that has been selected to study abroad. And the reason use, he/she manipulated the 1 Malaysia notion. Saying that, other races too has the right to study abroad on government scholarship. How sad.

As a concern citizen who loves this country, I am of the opinion that it would be best for us to guard what is ours and respect each other rights.

Hello, hello!

Sudah lama, saya tau...heh

So, it's so good to be back in my hometown (as always). While waiting to meet up Thamei, I decided to drop by and blog one or two tentative of my life so far.

For the past few months, life has been nothing but a roller coaster ride.

Fast rewind a few days back, I went for a course together with Amy and my dearest Ketim. Its sooo nice to meet her after half a year. And what a pleasant surprised that Ez had joined us too. So, as usual, we meet up Puan Raja and had so-called "kulliyah subuh" that all 4 of us became a zombie the next day. Regardless, we had fun! Girls, I'll post the picture. Its just that, the camera is not with me at the moment.

Then, coming back to the office with a brand new environment. Oh yes, the new officers has been transferred and there's 7 of them altogether. They look so innocent. But I know they gonna do well. This time around they send male officers, and yes they are all from UiTM (heh).

So, before coming back to Penang, Amy had received a very sad news. Her opah had passed away and my condolence to her and her family.

Well, I do not know what had happened but all of a sudden I had acne attack! I stop using the expensive facial cleanser and what not, instead, back to basic, I'm using the powerful traditional "bedak sejuk". Owh, we'll see how...

Ode To My Friend

It is always a sad news to know that you had lost someone.
And it is even sad when its obviously deep down you realise that it is such a big lost.

But I thank God for the chance given to me to get to know her.
Grateful I am to God for the opportunity given...
To have her as my guru, a great senior and how I always admire her being a genius yet very modest at all time.
I had always admire her.

Now, although she had departed from this crazy world we're living, I pray that she will be taken good care of in the world after.

I dedicate this to my dearest senior, colleague, sister and a friend of mine...

Fever Season

So I was down with fever for almost 2 weeks. After twice visiting the same clinic, and was given two different type of so-called 'strong' antibiotic...still, I was not fit enough for work. The problem is, it became worse while I was coughing and down with fever, plus running nose, I had to give a talk at the Immigration Department. So my two sidekicks followed me. And I must say, with my 'condition', I managed to give a talk which lasted for 2 hours! I pitied the audiences, amounting to 200 officers altogether whom I might had spread my flu and fever to them...he he he.

After the talk, I became even weaker, thanks to the airconditioning system at the Immigration office and the session court which I attended a day earlier. This time around, it really knocked me down.

Finally, after almost 2 weeks of ill, my parents and brother came down from KL (so sweet of them) and the best part is that, mom stayed! yey! And I was then forced to the Hospital, where I did my thorough check up. Ambil darah and x-ray. Was a bit nervous tho since it was my the first time my vein poked for the blood extraction procedure. But I was suprised that it was nothing. The nurse did a well done job. After checking, I complaint bout my body condition, I tend to loose weight, altho I eat a lot. So, again, they need to extract my blood, this time, its for thyroid check up. And how unfortunate that the nurses went off, leaving me with a bunch of medical students from Monash University, doing their practical. And I am the experiment...sigh. But, it was okay...it went well. I was about to congratulate the young student, but then again, I saved her from the embarassment.

So, the result for thyroid will only be released in 2 weeks time *finger crossed* And oh yeah, I've recovered since then from my flu and fever. A little of coughing here and there. Should be okay la...

Risk Taker

I have always look up on people who dare to take the risk,
Be it, venturing into business, setting up a legal firm, unit trust...just name it!
At a very young age, they are able to enjoy the fruit of their labour.

There are a few of my friends who are now living the luxurious life, driving the latest Mercedes, BMW, using upgraded gadgets etc...
And some, I would say, having the privillege of living a better life. Which is more than enough.

Oh ya, my old friend, Kak Su and her hubby, currently in a process of opening their own restaurant. It is named ' Warisan Tok Aji' at Jalan Kebudayaan 1,Taman University, Skudai. It is located next to Bank Rakyat and near to Ani Sup Utara Restaurant (quite a competition huh). So far, I was informed that they sell 'nasik lauk' during lunch to cater majority of the students there. I've tasted their cooking before, at a different shop own by her mother in law,its nice and reasonable. So friends, perhaps we could support our Kak Su in her effort of embarking into business? (kak, komisen eh)

Later I'm gonna rush from my workplace to the new shop to help her out...

Opposites Attracts Me.

I bet the craze is on for those who enjoys watching current slapstick comedy. After strings of slapstick humours series (Scrubs, My Name is Earl, 30 Rocks) and currently, yes, I am crowning 'Glee' as the Royalty of Slapstick Comedy for its teenage spirit, full of vibrant and rollercoaster emotions plus idiocy humour (that's mouthfull). I bet each and everyone would enjoy it, like I do.

After a marathon of 'Glee', I then watched a more serious kinda movie at HBO yesterday. A remarkable role played by Kate Winslet, that had won her an Oscar for a leading role as Hanna Schmitz, 35, whom had a passionate affair with a boy aged 15 years old,Michael, back in the late of 1950. Fast forward, the boy enrolled in a German University, as a law student, he followed his professor to a court proceeding, where a trial was held over war criminals during the Holocaust, and Hanna was one of the defendant.

While she served her time, he thinks of her every single day, without fail.

Until the very end of it, the love lives on...

The movie really capture and rapture my heart.

It describes 'love' in a more complicated way somehow.

I must say that it is a different kind of a Romeo and Juliet's version, only with the same result.

That's what I would comment about 'The Reader'.

So do watch 'Glee' and 'The Reader', especially.
