Squint your eyes and look closer
I'm not between you and your ambition
I am a poster girl with no poster
I am thirty-two flavors and then some
And I'm beyond your peripheral vision
So you might want to turn your head
Cause someday you're going to get hungry
And eat most of the words you just said
Both my parents taught me about good will
And I have done well by their names
Just the kindness I've lavished on strangers
Is more than I can explain
Still there's many who've turned out their porch lights
Just so I would think they were not home
And hid in the dark of their windows
Till I'd passed and left them alone
And god help you if you are an ugly girl
Course too pretty is also your doom
Cause everyone harbors a secret hatred
For the prettiest girl in the room
And god help you if you are a phoenix
And you dare to rise up from the ash
A thousand eyes will smolder with jealousy
While you are just flying past
I'm not trying to give my life meaning
By demeaning you
And I would like to state for the record
I did everything that I could do
I'm not saying that I'm a saint
I just don't want to live that way
No, I will never be a saint
But I will always say
Squint your eyes and look closer
I'm not between you and your ambition
I am a poster girl with no poster
I am thirty-two flavors and then some
And I'm beyond your peripheral vision
So you might want to turn your head
Cause someday you might find you're starving
And eating all of the words you said

Just Another Saturday Morning
A usual Saturday morning, where people would either be jog in the park with their families or some would prefer curled up on their cozy bed *bliss* or some would wake up early just to enjoy a cup of kopi C, kaya/butter toast and half boiled ayam kampung eggs *drool* or maybe roti canai with teh tarik..hmmm,haven.
But then again, myself, Puan Jean and Amy are stucked at the office as we're on the election duty for DUN Tenang. Here I am, eating a plain peanut butter sandwich, while Amy is googling for latest news (or is she? oh, my bad, facebook rupanya) and Puan Jean trying to buy time watching Rachel Ray on channel 5. How fortunate it is that our office is next to Singapore. In fact, channel 5 is way more clearer than our local tv.
I wonder what mom is doing home alone. We're stucked here for 8 hours and our duty will be called off at 4.00 p.m. Aiya...mo man tai! Afterall, I have millions of i.p to minute, 3 izins to prepare and 2 pardon board paper to complete. Hmmm...come to think of it, 8 hours is not enough. Hmm...maybe I should start now.
To you lucky people out there..enjoy your weekend!

The Trip On Saturday.
Last Saturday myself and Amy brought mom to Taman Negara Tanjung Piai. With excitement, we plan to explore the Southern Tip of South East Asia! Throughout the journey, it was nothing but fun-fun and fun. Before reaching there, we stop at Muzium Nenas (Pineapple Museum), Pontian. But to our disappointment, the museum was closed for no particular reason. How rare it is for a museum to be closed on Saturday?? Anyway, with high hopes, we drove all the way til we reach Telok Kerang and we stop at Bugis Museum. There, we were a bit shocked to see that the so-called museum turns out to be a small building half gerai makan, half museum. But, since we're already there, we just step inside the tiny museum and check out what it's all about. Instead being in a museum, we found ourselves blast from the past. There's a lot of magazines/newspapers' cutting of the yester years. Photos of celebrities and royalties from the 60's to 70's. There are also a few articles on 'Natrah' and also some ceramic. It's like, every single antique (be it, articles or even jeweleries, coins, accessories.) everything is there. Sadly, it looks more like a dusty antique shop rather than a museum.
After the journey to the past, we headed to Kukup for lunch. Oh, the food was nothing but excellent. We had chillies crab, black pepper lala, friend squids, fried beansprout and a big bowl of vegetable soup. And the best part, it is so cheap...
Then, we went to our main destination i.e Taman Negara Tanjung Piai. Actually, this is my second attempt as the first one, myself and Amy arrived there at 6.45 p.m. So, we went back since it's too late to enter deep into the jungle. So, this time around, we made it there at about probably around 2.00 p.m. So, the three of us walked slowly towards the tip of South East Asia when suddenly we stumbled upon a group of monkeys. We were to deep inside and it is too late to turn back. We were numb instantly! The monkeys came towards us and Amy was so freaked out that she ran and stand behind me. The 'wild' monkeys suddenly became aggressive and as a result, Amy screamed out of fear. And because of that, they became excited and one of the monkey jumped across and landed right behind Amy. I had to calm her down and push her in front of me and told both mom and her to walk fast. Before leaving the spot, at a glance, I saw the monkey was trying to hold me but we move so fast and dare not look back.
5 minutes later, we were so relieved to see people as we had reached the tip of South East Asia. We were so scared earlier and after taking few photos we waited for other people to go back first so that we were not alone. And alhamdulillah...we made it.
So, after that, we headed home. And the journey was okay throughout and we even stopped for fried fritters and cendol along the way. Haiya, come to think of it...I still feel chill when imagining the monkeys incident. Scaaary...

When Picture Speaks A Thousand Words
Episode 2 : S.I.S.T.E.R.H.O.O.D

If you notice, it's rare to see all 9 of us in one picture. Especially in a recent year where most of the girls are mar

ried, committed to other obligations and distance is not spared too. So, it is very hard to gather all 9 of us. There's always one or two person will be missing from the picture. However, I managed to get pictures all 9 of us fitting in 1 frame. But it is mostly old photos. One is at law school..on Jaja's birthday. Another is at Am's house, Raya lunch I guess. And finally, a picture during my b'day celebration at Karaoke Shop somewhere in Klang. Before the 'Twillight' craze between Team Edward and Team Jacob...there was Team Jaja and I should not be mentioning name here, since the incident occurred way way back then.

Yesterday I received a call from Dod in regard of Naem's bridal shower. I am keeping my finger cross so that all 9 of us would be able to make it. The last reunion was during Am's baby shower and many flew down south to celebrate it. But this time around, I was told of the tentative, it will be held here in KL.It maybe hard to gather all 9, but at least a little effort won't hurt, right? After all, what are friends for.

When Pictures Speak A Thousand Words
Episode 1 : The Conference

This picture marks a humble beginning of my carrier as a DPP. Here, my batchmate and I had attended our first Prosecution Division's Conference back in 2006. At a glance, I'm pretty sure you may notice the fresh looks on each faces. The smile of a young junior officers, being starstrucked whilst trying very hard to cover the eagerness as we striked a pose with our former Head of Prosecution. Come to think of it, we were throbbing with energy back then.
After Langkawi, our next conference was held in Terengganu. Myself, Mardzia and Liza was given the honour to perform together with our new colleagues in ala 70's dance routine. Despite the embarassment, it was great! I enjoyed every bit of it. But, sorry..I can't find the pic. Next time perhaps.
Anyway, a couple of years after the first conference, we were given the responsibility to assist our seniors in holding the biggest and sadly, the final conference. I remember all the hard work we had to do. All the troubles, problems that we had to face. But, by the end of the day, it's all worth it. I was able to trace this picture from my bro's pc. This is when the 4 of us, including Budiman (whom later flew to Japan and left me with all the chores..thank you sir!), first surveyed the venue. (Gosh, I was thin then..damn)
However, I was indeed very fortunate to have a good bunch of AJKS whom had given nothing but their best. (Yes, Intan, Amy and the rest I may had forgotten to mention, my apologies, but you guys rock the programme unit!)The left hand side picture shows Intan tired face while Mardzia and Amy (kurus!) melawa.
After that I remember the classes, seminars, makan-makan and the grand dinner. But above all, I remember the most...having a good time of my life with my dearest buddies. Dirty Bit! (And yes, buddies does not includes the less important people in my life..heh)

Out of bound
How was your Eid Celebration? Mine was sucks *lol*. Regardless, I am still counting my blessings.
This is a picture taken somewhere in Jun or July. This picture was taken right after Dr. Azma gave her statement in the court. She's a forensic doctor specialised in odontology. Creepy as it sound, she took the sample out of a dead body, yet to me, she is very brave indeed. In this picture is our very much reliable I.O - ASP Merbin, Dr.Azma herself, Tuan Umar and yours truly, while the shot was photographed by Amy.
Right now I'm supposed to prepare for my PPK (shuxs). As I was checking my mails, this picture surface and what the heck, I just upload it in my blog then. Oh ya, raya picture belum upload. Later la.

Eid ul-Fitr!
'Esok Hari Raya!'
As most muslims are looking forward to celebrate this auspicious day.Well, frankly, am not so excited. The reason behind it?
Despite the family friction, I've received my PPK questions...aiyah.
Again, deja vu as it may be, I'll be sitting for my PPK exam a week after Raya. So, there goes "jolly good time".
Secondly, I have no baju raya. Envious with my fellow fren, antaranya Jas who seems to be unable to make up her mind whether to wear which baju raya out of 3 choices that she has..(hahaha) and the fact that my other fren's young ones/babies pun have their own baju raya...while I have none! Too late to shop la (malas is more like it)
But then again, I'm in Penang! The best part of it, break fast time is sooo nice. So farewell ayam penyet, pecal lele, briyani gam etc...for now. 2 weeks of holiday in Penang? I should be happy...but somehow PPK is bugging me. Amy is kind enough to lend me her netbook for me to do some research. Couldn't thank her much.
Anyway, Happy Eid to all!

Independence Day
As Eid is approaching, there's a lot of things to be done. And one of it, 'balik kampung' preparation. So, first thing first, 'cuci' my car. Service it thoroughly. Clean it in and out, esp the leather seats which need to be groom. 'Samak' here and there and 'samak' all over. And the result...'suci' finally. Then only it would be proper to ride with my loved ones.
Anyway, its Independence Day!So, what have we achieved so far? What do you understand by the notion of 1 Malaysia? A current slogan by the Prime Minister. With all due respect, I am nothing but confuse. Does it mean 1 nation, 1 country and 1 race? If so, then how come we are still multi racial? I'm pretty sure we're not gonna be like Indonesia or Thailand in that sense. I believe the other races are not ready to give up on their 'sekolah jenis kebangsaan' etc for the sake of being 1 Malaysia. Or...maybe its simpler, it is unity among the races. I agree with Tun Mahathir when he said that only our Prime Minister could clarify and explain the true meaning of 1 Malaysia so it would be clearer and comprehend by our fellow Malaysian. I have a strong understanding that 1 Malaysia is still in line with the Federal Constitution. The living legend Prof. Emeritus Khoo Kay Khim acknowledged the unquestionable constitution of Malaysia. Somehow, some leaders are very bold enough to question on the constitution, indirect, yet obvious. For example on the Malays students right to education (the privilege to be exact), a certain individual had demanded a list of Malay students name that has been selected to study abroad. And the reason use, he/she manipulated the 1 Malaysia notion. Saying that, other races too has the right to study abroad on government scholarship. How sad.
As a concern citizen who loves this country, I am of the opinion that it would be best for us to guard what is ours and respect each other rights.
Happy Independence Day fellow Malaysian!

Hello?
Hello, hello!
Sudah lama, saya tau...heh
So, it's so good to be back in my hometown (as always). While waiting to meet up Thamei, I decided to drop by and blog one or two tentative of my life so far.
For the past few months, life has been nothing but a roller coaster ride.
Fast rewind a few days back, I went for a course together with Amy and my dearest Ketim. Its sooo nice to meet her after half a year. And what a pleasant surprised that Ez had joined us too. So, as usual, we meet up Puan Raja and had so-called "kulliyah subuh" that all 4 of us became a zombie the next day. Regardless, we had fun! Girls, I'll post the picture. Its just that, the camera is not with me at the moment.
Then, coming back to the office with a brand new environment. Oh yes, the new officers has been transferred and there's 7 of them altogether. They look so innocent. But I know they gonna do well. This time around they send male officers, and yes they are all from UiTM (heh).
So, before coming back to Penang, Amy had received a very sad news. Her opah had passed away and my condolence to her and her family.
Well, I do not know what had happened but all of a sudden I had acne attack! I stop using the expensive facial cleanser and what not, instead, back to basic, I'm using the powerful traditional "bedak sejuk". Owh, we'll see how...

Ode To My Friend
It is always a sad news to know that you had lost someone.
And it is even sad when its obviously deep down you realise that it is such a big lost.
But I thank God for the chance given to me to get to know her.
Grateful I am to God for the opportunity given...
To have her as my guru, a great senior and how I always admire her being a genius yet very modest at all time.
I had always admire her.
Now, although she had departed from this crazy world we're living, I pray that she will be taken good care of in the world after.
I dedicate this to my dearest senior, colleague, sister and a friend of mine...
Puan Maziah binti Abu.
May Allah bless her beautiful soul.

Fever Season
So I was down with fever for almost 2 weeks. After twice visiting the same clinic, and was given two different type of so-called 'strong' antibiotic...still, I was not fit enough for work. The problem is, it became worse while I was coughing and down with fever, plus running nose, I had to give a talk at the Immigration Department. So my two sidekicks followed me. And I must say, with my 'condition', I managed to give a talk which lasted for 2 hours! I pitied the audiences, amounting to 200 officers altogether whom I might had spread my flu and fever to them...he he he.
After the talk, I became even weaker, thanks to the airconditioning system at the Immigration office and the session court which I attended a day earlier. This time around, it really knocked me down.
Finally, after almost 2 weeks of ill, my parents and brother came down from KL (so sweet of them) and the best part is that, mom stayed! yey! And I was then forced to the Hospital, where I did my thorough check up. Ambil darah and x-ray. Was a bit nervous tho since it was my the first time my vein poked for the blood extraction procedure. But I was suprised that it was nothing. The nurse did a well done job. After checking, I complaint bout my body condition, I tend to loose weight, altho I eat a lot. So, again, they need to extract my blood, this time, its for thyroid check up. And how unfortunate that the nurses went off, leaving me with a bunch of medical students from Monash University, doing their practical. And I am the experiment...sigh. But, it was okay...it went well. I was about to congratulate the young student, but then again, I saved her from the embarassment.
So, the result for thyroid will only be released in 2 weeks time *finger crossed* And oh yeah, I've recovered since then from my flu and fever. A little of coughing here and there. Should be okay la...

Risk Taker
I have always look up on people who dare to take the risk,
Be it, venturing into business, setting up a legal firm, unit trust...just name it!
At a very young age, they are able to enjoy the fruit of their labour.
There are a few of my friends who are now living the luxurious life, driving the latest Mercedes, BMW, using upgraded gadgets etc...
And some, I would say, having the privillege of living a better life. Which is more than enough.

Oh ya, my old friend, Kak Su and her hubby, currently in a process of opening their own restaurant. It is named ' Warisan Tok Aji' at Jalan Kebudayaan 1,Taman University, Skudai. It is located next to Bank Rakyat and near to Ani Sup Utara Restaurant (quite a competition huh). So far, I was informed that they sell 'nasik lauk' during lunch to cater majority of the students there. I've tasted their cooking before, at a different shop own by her mother in law,its nice and reasonable. So friends, perhaps we could support our Kak Su in her effort of embarking into business? (kak, komisen eh)
Later I'm gonna rush from my workplace to the new shop to help her out...
Seronok rasa bila kawan-kawan berjaya.

Opposites Attracts Me.
I bet the craze is on for those who enjoys watching current slapstick comedy. After strings of slapstick humours series (Scrubs, My Name is Earl, 30 Rocks) and currently, yes, I am crowning 'Glee' as the Royalty of Slapstick Comedy for its teenage spirit, full of vibrant and rollercoaster emotions plus idiocy humour (that's mouthfull). I bet each and everyone would enjoy it, like I do.
After a marathon of 'Glee', I then watched a more serious kinda movie at HBO yesterday. A remarkable role played by Kate Winslet, that had won her an Oscar for a leading role as Hanna Schmitz, 35, whom had a passionate affair with a boy aged 15 years old,Michael, back in the late of 1950. Fast forward, the boy enrolled in a German University, as a law student, he followed his professor to a court proceeding, where a trial was held over war criminals during the Holocaust, and Hanna was one of the defendant.
While she served her time, he thinks of her every single day, without fail.
Until the very end of it, the love lives on...
The movie really capture and rapture my heart.
It describes 'love' in a more complicated way somehow.
I must say that it is a different kind of a Romeo and Juliet's version, only with the same result.
That's what I would comment about 'The Reader'.
So do watch 'Glee' and 'The Reader', especially.
Later.

Fate?
I remember the other day watching MJ's 'This Is It'.
I bet those who watched it shares the same emotions as what I felt...(or maybe not). I have nothing but sympathy towards him. Judging from the short-documentary, I guess he didn't see it coming. After all, his death is categorised as 'homicide' right?
He was 300% prepared for the concert. He was determined to make it his final tour and perhaps bearing in mind to end it beautifully. As a matter of fact, he even scolded the crew for letting him sing his heart out when he was supposed to save up his voice for the event. And I'm glad that they let him sing. The only reason is that he sang my fave song...'I just can't stop loving you'. I had goosebumps...oh yeah, I really did.
The preparation was done thoroughly and he's nothing but a perfectionist. Although at times, a bit peculiar in his behaviour, yet who cares...after all, he's The King of Pop.
But, after walking out of the cinema, it hits me. I realized then, you may prepare your very best, give it all out...but by the end of the day, you have no idea how God had crafted your life accordingly. Its entirely based on fate. You may try very hard for things to go your way, but then again, there are times when all you can do is, inhale slowly, exhale as the air cleansed your soul...and succumb to your fate.
Its painful, one may say...
Oh yes...
I've said it before and I'm saying it again...God does work in a mysterious ways.

Reminiscing
Why do we still hold on to the past?
As a lesson?
As a reminder?
Or simply to reminisce?
What if the past you thought of does not live there anymore?
That past had move on long before you could even blink your eyes...
Maybe you too have to learn to move along, which you had.
Or maybe you thought you had.
But then again, could you value the present without weighing with the past?
Maybe...
Maybe not.
But it is unfortunate if you are still living in the past...
So, walk down that memory lane once awhile, and move on.
Do not look back...never ever.

Adorable, aren't they?
I just got back from a getaway in my effort to destress myself, and got to know that my dear Aniz just delivered a handsome baby boy. Congratulation Nijoh! I bet she's the happiest lady now that she's being surrounded by handsome boy and man (ehem...sorry,can't help it...min,ur still handsome...call me). On the left hand side, introducing, Arman Rais, born on the 9th of January 2010.

Its so beautiful to witness the miracle in daily life, especially from my closest friends. One after another. It started with Mia and Tariq , to Jas and Din's bundle of joy, then there's Jaja and Sharil beautiful Ayeesha, and also the rest of my former classmate...I believe they are now growing up and every single day without fail still and always will amaze their so-ever-exciting parents with their whiz perhaps a small gesture or even by throwing a simple naughty smile. Browsing Jas's blog, even I am amazed at how our lil Maiqel has developed a skill in negotiation. Well done! :)
I just can't help myself from stalking the latest addition to the human kind, out of my closest friend's contribution. So, here we go...

Azhad Bukharry (Ayu and Zul's handsome boy)

Our little Umar Iskandar could be the next F1 driver huh? Maybe he could attract our beautiful Alysha Charlene Gill enjoying her bubble bath there...

Irsa Hana (Bon and Zimah's baby girl). She has such a unique name. Irsa - Rainbow, Hana - My beloved = My beloved rainbow.
This is another therapy, perhaps, by looking at the cute photos of an innocent and pure heart, it would be able to set a better kind of mood. And yes, we are expecting from our dear Am...soon!

Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart
Alicia Keys

Even if you are a million miles away
I could still feel you in my bed
Near me, touch me, feel me
And even at the bottom of the sea
I could still hear it inside my head
Telling me, touch me, feel me
And all the time, you were telling me lies
So tonight, I'm gonna find a way to make it without you
Tonight, I'm gonna find a way to make it without you
I'm gonna hold on to the times that we had
Tonight, I'm gonna find a way to make it without you
Have you ever try sleeping with a broken heart?
Well you could try sleeping in my bed
Lonely, own me, nobody ever shut it down like you
You wore the crown, you made my body feel heaven bound
Why don't you hold me, need me
I thought you told me, you'd never leave me
Looking in the sky I could see your face
And I knew right where I fit in
Take me, make me, you know that I'll always be in love with you
Right till the end
So tonight, I'm gonna find a way to make it without you
Tonight,I'm gonna find a way to make it without you
I'm gonna hold on to the times that we had
Tonight, I'm gonna find a way to make it without you
Anybody could've told you right from the start it's 'bout to fall apart
So rather than hold on to a broken dream or just hold on to love
And I could find a way to make it, don't hold on too tight
I'll make it without you tonight
So tonight, I'm gonna find a way to make it without you
I'm gonna find a way to make it without you
I'm gonna hold on to the times that we had
Tonight, I'm gonna find a way to make it without you
So tonight, I'm gonna find a way to make it without you

Cheezy Songs?
Ever experience a situation when there's an echo of a cheezy song repeating in your head? For the past few days I kept humming this bloody 'jiwang' mat salleh song by plain white shirt (whatever the band name is) that 1,2,3,4 I love You...aiyo, I'm so annoyed.
The other day I had a light chat with my close yet far friends. Just to pass the time...this question arise;
"what is your breakup song that able to make you feeling extremely sentimental?"
I got all these Indonesian songs listed...from Ungu, Kerispatih yada yada yada.
Ira named John Legend and some of them has none (konon tak pernah frust la tu...yeah right, I'll keep you guys as anonymous.you know who you are tho). And as for me, my personal jiwang frust katak song is David Gray - This Year's Love. Yeah, yeah...that song is really jiwang frustrating one. And my all time evergreen lagu jatuh cinta in a fantasy lala land is Dreaming of You by Selena (i know, just sue me)
Suddenly, this cross my mind...ever heard of Tercipta Untukku by Ungu? I always find this song funny...coz I remembered being dedicated of the said song by 2 person. My sense quickly query the fact that..."so,aku tercipta untuk siapa ni?" (ouch)
Okayla...off to Penang now!
And that bloody theres only one thing two do three words four you is still in my head...haih!
Later
